My Monthly Q Review Articles
For those who don’t know, The Q Review is a blog dedicated to LGBTQ musicians. They not only write reviews and post about new music, but the Q Review also conducts interviews with LGBTQ musicians, does a weekly podcast and has a weekly chart called The Q 22, where people can vote on their favorite songs by current LGBTQ musicians. It’s an amazing resource and voice right now for LGBTQ music and I cannot recommend it enough for anyone who wants to keep up with all the new music coming out of the Queer community.
Kenney, who runs The Q Review, has been kind enough to let me write a monthly column for the blog, which is where I put together a list of my favorite songs of the month and discuss each of my picks with a brief paragraph. About 75% of my picks are songs by LGBTQ musicians and the other 25% are typically songs by Alternative Rock bands with some pop divas thrown in every now and then. Below you can find the links to all the articles I have written this year for The Q Review.
Going forward I will be posting a link to my monthly Q Review articles here on my own blog so you can check out and discover some great new music. Through these articles you can also discover some great LGBTQ musicians, who I love but I have not discussed yet on own blog, such as Gregory Dillon, Michael Medrano, Bronze Avery, Davy Boi, Carlos Vara, Vardaan Arora, Kisos, Girli, Sam Bluer, REYNA, Jesse Saint John, and more. I also put together a playlist for my Q Review article that I will update every time a new article posts and it will also be called The Dougystyle Club.
